Mawwiage is what bwings us heaow togevah...

My cousin just got hitched! The wedding was in New Hampshire, and it was absolutely gorgeous. Of all the times I've been to NH, I'd never been there in the fall, and it was amazing. My uncle actually took me on a motorcycle ride through the mountains Friday morning -- it was in the mid thirties (I wore 2 pairs of jeans and 3 pairs of socks), but it was totally worth it. Anyway, wedding....

Lisa was gorgeous.

More gorgeousness. If you look closely you'll notice she wore white All-Stars.

Her husband Kreg's a good looking guy, too.

It was beautiful, but really cold out (mid to upper 40sish?). The bridesmaids huddled together for warmth, despite some of us having only just met each other. It appears I am officially Not Paying Attention.

Here I am walking down the aisle. We had a last minute GIRLS! THE GUYS ARE ALREADY UP THERE YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE GOING GO GO GO panic, and I totally forgot to smile til I was almost at the front. Oops.

Her daddy about to give her away:

When he was asked who gives this woman in marriage, he answered "her mother, her brother, and I," which was touching and bittersweet. Also, they walked down the aisle to an old recording of her brother John playing Pachabel's Canon. (John passed away 5 years ago.)

Vows:

Aren't they disgustingly adorable?

Exhaustipated.

  1. Awww, you look adorable. The serious expression just helps you to look like a 1950s movie star.

When I was a flower girl, I forgot to smile. But then, as I was going down the aisle, people kept making gestures at me (to smile). This seemed to anger me and I actually walked the rest of down the aisle scowling. Because I was an awesome child.

Nobody has asked me to be in their wedding since.

Also, the flowers are very "fall-ish" and festive.

  2. You look so very above it all, hee. I love those bridesmaid dresses! I don't think I've ever seen white-esque bridesmaid dresses before (the pictures make them look off-white to the bride's actual-white?) - it's really, really pretty.

  3. @Shel Thanks! Aww, pouty shel. :P I'm picturing that pouty school photo of you in your parents' hallway....

@Shannon The dresses appear a little lighter in photographs; they were actually sort of champagne/light gold. Very, very pretty! A little skimpy for being outside in 40 degree weather, but yes, super-pretty! ;)
