Nothing makes me want to pick up my sketchbook like seeing somebody else's really cool sketches. And for some reason, the rougher the work the better, if the artist is talented. Here's today's inspiration (are you familiar with the webcomic Wondermark? David Malki is amazing), which I thought was just amusing enough to be worth sharing:

ReplyDeleteI have tried to do the solid color background thing, but I think you have to have a pad and stylus to be able to cut out your image cleanly and I can't do it with my stupid mouse.
This girl Crazyvictoria does a lot of really great TNG (and BSG) icons both serious and hilarious. I love them. Tons and tons here:

Haha, I have been reading her personal LJ for about four years, since I got into BSG fandom. I must have missed the Worf icon (she is totally the reason why I picked up TNG at the library; she did a huge Crusher/Picard picspam and I was like, I have to watch this).
