In which Holly expends emotional energy on something fictional
I finished BSG! I loved the finale; it was so good. I ended up being glad I saw the spoiler I did early on... it made things easier to take. At any rate, to mark this momentous occasion, I wanted to share my favorite Roslin/Adama Battlestar icons I've found scouting around livejournal the last few months. I hope you enjoy the pretty; it's a bit overwhelming, but I narrowed it down from hundreds, so, well, there you go. If you want to know who made one, I usually save them by artist, so just ask.

Oh, wow. These are beautiful. You could assemble them into a pretty rad desktop, you know.
ReplyDeleteI need to really icon the whole show. I have, like, a handful bad S1 ones, no S2 ones, some good ones from the New Caprica arc, and some I like from S4, but only from about four episodes. I need to do a comprehensive iconning. Maybe this summer, when I have more free time.
I'm so glad you loved the finale! I feel like the only BSG fan in the entire universe who loved the finale! I just thought it was perfect.
I'm glad someone else appreciates them! :) There are so many out there that I haven't actually bothered making any of my own. If you're really going to do some iconning and don't want to go through and cap everything, I just yesterday found a huge cache of screencaps:

Yes, it was super-perfect. I loved the flashbacks, I found myself surprisingly moved by Starbuck's resolution, and I was happy to see Baltar finally come around. (I'd been super-happy in the previous episode to have someone *finally* point out -- to his face -- that despite all his good deeds he'd never actually changed at all.) The last few episodes had been so mediocre, I was glad to see them step it back up. It was beautiful.
Oh, wow, I somehow missed this post when you first did it. These icons are lovely. I must gank a few. :)
ReplyDeleteLol, I was sort of wondering why you asked me on the phone if I liked the finale. Not like they're mine, but gank away! If you're concerned with crediting the artists, let me know and I can tell you where I got them.
