Most of these I've already posted on facebook (although there's a few new ones in there). Sorry about the lighting -- none of them are actually on brown paper, believe it or not! Also, I was cleaning out the closet of my old bedroom at home over Thanksgiving and came across a bag of all my old sketchbooks from growing up. I've been meaning since then to take pictures and do a sort of progressive post, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. I'll try to do that soon. I've done a few paintings over the years, but I don't seem to have any digital pictures of them.
On to the art!
From a figure-drawing night class I took in fall of '07:
Woooooow. You're really good! I figured I'd be embarrassed at the amateurish stuff I put up, but not THIS embarrassed! Your figure drawings are A-maz-ing. I'm tremendously impressed.
ReplyDeleteOh sweet Lord, your banner. That's awesome.
ReplyDeleteAhahahaha your banner made me laugh out loud. Awesome.
ReplyDeleteAnd while I have seen most of these before, they are still quite impressive.
Aw, thanks! And you're stuff is really good, Shannon, don't kid yourself! Painting water and cut glass with watercolors? Omg. Wows.
ReplyDeleteHee, well, if Wil Wheaton sez it's sexytime, it must be.... ;)
No, no, I wasn't fishing for praise, hee. Our stuff is clearly on two different levels. Okay, my watercolors aren't bad, I'll preen over that.
ReplyDeleteI want you to know it's driving me crazy, trying to figure out what episode that's from. I can't even get a good enough look at her hair to figure out season, other than that it's not horrifying enough to be S1.
Ah, that is a big clue, actually. You can't actually *see* her hair.
ReplyDeleteHuh. I can't think of one off the top of my head. I wonder if it's one I haven't seen yet. (I've slowed down my TNG consumption drastically, as I realized that at my previous pace I would have burned through the whole series and therefore had no new TNG to look forward to.)
ReplyDeleteActually, yeah, it's in season six (I've done some skipping around) -- Chain of Command, Part I. (Chain of Command is one of the more famous episodes, so i thought there'd be a chance maybe you'd skipped ahead and watched it already. There are four lights!)
ReplyDeleteHaha, I've read about the central premise thingy and know "there are four lights," but the only one I've skipped ahead to is Attached, and even then I only watched the P/C scenes on YouTube. I'm pretty sadly militant about watching stuff in order.
ReplyDeleteAw, Attached. ...<3<3<3 That's all I've seen, too, those P/C scenes. I don't even know what the rest of the episode's about.
